Throughout Upstate New York for three generations, the Rommel name is synonymous with Professionalism and Quality in the Commercial, Industrial, and Security Fencing Industry. From its roots in the 1940s–1990s, running projects for Cyclone Fence Division of US Steel, the premier large fence company in the U.S., is where Roger Rommel, Sr., Roger Rommel, Jr., and R. Scott Rommel all honed their project management skills. In the 1960s, Roger Jr. and Mary Rommel started Roger’s Fence and operated it through 2005, when Roger Jr. retired. At that time, Mary Rommel and Scott Rommel started Rommel Fence LLC, as it is now known. From 2005 through the present, the company has been operated by Mary Rommel, Holly Rommel, and as of 2025, Tracy Rommel. The company continues to be family-owned and operated, with deep roots and a distinguished heritage to live up to. This is a goal that Tracy, as the Managing Member, along with her husband Scott, and their daughter Victoria, who has recently graduated college and has now come on board to work with the company, will endeavor to uphold.

Over the decades, the Rommel family has installed fences all around New York State, including the NYS and Federal Prison System, County Jails, Bridges, Roads, Airports, Border Crossings, Ports, Rail Yards and Distribution Centers.
